Flag Poles

Old Glory offers six different models of poles.

Our poles are extruded (seamless) aluminum pipe using alloy #6063-T6. This gives the poles maximized strength while at the same time minimizing the pole’s weight. The pipe is then anodized bright silver. The pole’s castings come from poured aluminum using alloy #535 and are run through a wheelabrator to give it lasting shine.

The base plates for the BB and SB models are powder coated for lasting protection.

We have made every attempt to make our poles as maintenance free as possible, and we take pride that our poles are 100% made in the USA!

FB2 Model

The fixed base, 2-section pole is available in heights ranging from 16’ to 22’. The pipe is approximately 1/8” in thickness. The bottom section has an outside diameter of 2 7/8”, and the top section has an outside diameter of 2 3/8”. FB model poles up to 18’ can be shipped via UPS. See diagram.

EB2 Model

The embedded base, 2-section pole is available in heights ranging from 16’ to 22’. The pipe is approximately 1/8” in thickness. The bottom section has an outside diameter of 3 1/2”, and the top section has an outside diameter of 2 3/8”. EB model poles up to 18’ can be shipped via UPS. See diagram.

EB3 Model

The embedded base, 3-section pole is available in heights ranging from 20’ to 36’. The pipe is approximately 1/8” in thickness. The bottom section is approximately 3/16” in thickness and has an outside diameter of 3 1/2”. The middle and top sections have outside diameters of 2 7/8”and 2 3/8” respectively. EB model poles up to 27’ can be shipped via UPS. See diagram.

BB2 Model

The bolted base, 2-section pole is the EB2 model pole with a bolted base assembly. It is available in heights ranging from 16’ to 22’. The pipe is approximately 1/8” in thickness. The bottom section has an outside diameter of 3 1/2” and the top section has an outside diameter of 2 3/8”. BB model poles up to 18’ can be shipped via UPS. See diagram.

SB2 Model

The swing base, 2-section pole is the EB2 model with an easy to use swing base. It is available in heights ranging from 16’ to 22’. The pipe is approximately 1/8” in thickness. The bottom section has an outside diameter of 3 1/2” and the top section has an outside diameter of 2 3/8”. SB model poles up to 18’ can be shipped via UPS. See diagram.

SB3 Model

The swing base, 3-section pole is the EB3 model with an easy to use swing base. It is available in heights ranging from 20’ to 30’.The bottom section is approximately 3/16” in thickness with an outside diameter of 3 1/2”. The middle and top sections have outside diameters of 2 7/8”and 2 3/8” respectively. EB model poles up to 27’ can be shipped via UPS. See diagram.

Flag Pole Bases

We offer six flag pole models including two different types of flag pole bases. Half of the models use the bottom section of pole pipe as the pole base-the other half of the models have a pole base assembly. Read on for a diagram and brief description of each.

Fixed-Base	Fixed-Base The FB model pole is available as a 2 section pole only. The bottom 18” of the 2 7/8” O.D. pole pipe is cemented into the ground and is the poles base. Above ground height of the FB pole is 1-1/2 feet less than the poles height number. For example: Above ground height of the FB2-18 pole is 16-1/2 feet.
Embedded-Base	Embedded-Base The EB model pole is available as 2 section and 3 section pole. The bottom 18” of the 3 -1/2” O.D. pole pipe is cemented into the ground and is the poles base. Above ground height of the EB pole is 1-1/2 feet less than the pole height number. For example: above ground height of the EB2-18 pole is 16-1/2 feet and the above ground height of the EB3-27 pole is 25-1/2 feet.
Bolted-Base	Bolted-Base The BB model pole is available as a 2 section pole only. The bottom section of the 3-1/2” O.D. pole pipe is placed in the cemented base assembly that is included with the BB model pole. Above ground height of the BB pole is the same as the pole height number. For example: above ground height of the BB2-18 is 18 feet.
Swing-Base	Swing-Base The SB model pole is available as a 2 section and 3 section pole. The bottom section of the 3-1/2” O.D. pole pipe is placed in the cemented swing base assembly that is included with the SB model pole. Above ground height of the SB pole is the same as the pole height number. For example: above ground height of the SB2-18 pole is 18 feet and the above ground height of the SB3-27 pole is 27 feet.

Coupco coupling

Pole sections are joined together by the first inner periphery expansion coupling as developed by COUPCO. Two cast identical halves (Figure 1) are machined to a .015 tolerance and placed into a bottom section. Another section is placed on the top portion of the coupling (Figure 2) and a set screw expands the two halves creating an extremely powerful locking device.
